Abuja metro rail commences full commercial operation

The Abuja metro rail transportation system has commenced full commercial operation. The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), said it is charged with the responsibility to regularize the fares, as it benefits the masses.
The Secretary, Transportation Secretariat, Comrade Kayode Opeifa, while announcing the new fares and time table to the journalists Wednesday commended residents for patronizing train ride for two weeks of its free services.
Comrade Opeifa said the fare to and from the Airport Station, for adults is N1000.00, while children and physically challenged, would be charged N700.00
Also, he said that a journey to and from Idu and from Airport Station for adults is N500 while children and physically challenged, would pay N300.
