Nigeria's U-20 Women's football team Falconets, have crashed out of FIFA U20 Women's World Cup after losing 2-1 to Spain in the quarterfinal match decided on Thursday evening.
Spain's captain A. Bonmati put the Europeans ahead in the 13th minute.
The Spainish side who controlled the match from start to finish, added another through P. Guijarro in the 45th minute.
However, the Falconets rallied round to reduce the tally on the 57th minute when Peace Efih slotted home.
All efforts for the Africans to level proceedings proved abortive as the Europeans held on to push through to the semi-finals.
